Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has stated that irrigation waters will be released to Nagarjuna Sagar left canal for Yasangi season by Dec 10. He held a crucial meeting on use of Sagar left canal waters and availability at Assembly Committee hall here, along with Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao and leaders of Khammam and Nalgonda leaders who agreed to release irrigation waters during Yasangi. A plan in this regard will be announced on Saturday during a meeting with ayacut farmers at Sagar the minister said. Sagar left canal now has 40 tmc against 36 tmc last year he said adding that they irrigated 10,369 acres through 1 tmc with measures. Those present include MPs Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MLAs P Vijay, Padmavathi, Veeresham, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ravindra Naik, Bhaskar Rao and Madan Lal and officials.
