CM efforts fructified on Kaleshwaram
Welcoming Central environmental clearance for Kaleshwaram, TRS MP Suman has said that the project is the brainchild of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Interacting to media persons on the final nod from the Centre he said that the project will irrigate about 18 lakhs of acres in north Telangana and will be completed next year June. The TRS leader took a dig at the past congress government for denying waters to Telangana. Now that the TRS Government made persistent efforts and got the project cleared he said. Farmers will be indebted to the chief minister for the project Suman said. The project is very important in Telangana State and will irrigate 18 lakhs in North Telangana districts. With this all problems pertaining to drinking and irrigation needs will come to a halt soon he hoped. He said that KCR is determined to complete the project as part of his plan to irrigate one crore acres.
Water Resources Center Chairman V Prakash reacting on the central nod for the project welcomed it and hoped to address irrigation needs. He said that it was a slap on the opposition parties coming in the way of the projects and development. Prakash slammed the opposition for conspiring against the projects.
