105th Indian Science Congress on grand note at OU
Event from Jan 3, PM , Guv, CM to attend Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari has said that 105th “Indian Science Congress” will be conducted on grand note in Osmania University as part of its centenary celebrations from Jan 3 to 7 next year. At a review meeting with officials he said that the Telangana Government is making better arrangements for the event to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nobel awardees, noted scientists and academicians and others. Several Union Ministers, Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and several ministers of other states, literary men, language experts and others will attend. He also said that the program to be made a grand success with effective coordination of departments and elaborate arrangements. OU Vice Chancellor Ramachandram, Registrar Gopal Reddy, Indian Science Congress General Secretary Achyutha Samantha, Children Science Congress Convener D Ashok and officials were present. Srihari said that the government will offer adequate funds for the science congress to be launched with a theme of “Reaching the Unreached through Science and Technology”. Apart from that children science congress, women science congress, science exhibition, 14 thematic sessions and workshops will be held.
